Are you looking for service hours? All students need 12 CCS credit hours this semester, and the first 5 credits must be Chapel hours. You have the option to choose either service, convocation, or chapel for the remaining 7 hours. These are some opportunities to earn credits before the end of the semester.
October Events
1. Oakmont Fall Festival on 10.22.22
Join Oakmont for festivities and service to the community by signing up HERE. There are several volunteer positions available in different areas:
- Booth Set Up
- Game Operator
- Handing out candy to the youth
All volunteers will be expected to hand out candy throughout the night and assist in the cleanup following the event.
2. Fairmount Elementary/First Pres Trunk or Treat Volunteers
Fairmount Elementary school along with First Presbyterian Church in Bristol need volunteers for the event on 10.28.22 from 6 – 7:30 pm.

3. NorthStar Church Fall Festival on 10.29.22
Hunger First is devoted to serving the homeless and impoverished. There are many things you can do to contribute to the impact made by this nonprofit organization:
- Sorting donations
- Assisting with the community distribution
- Interacting with and encouraging the members of the community
Volunteers are an essential element of the distribution.
4. Hunger First Haunted Picture Halloween Scavenger Hunt Volunteers needed
Assistance is needed to create a very spooktacular experience for the 1st Annual event. Call Hunger First at 423.7650.113 if interested or contact leannewallace@kw.com for more information.
November Events:
1. Turkey Trot YWCA
Sign up for the 42nd annual Turkey Trot 5k race in downtown Bristol, Va/Tn to benefit the YWCA in Bristol. For more information visit the YWCA website.
2. Serve Bristol
Join us for community outreach to lend a hand in our mission to reach the homeless.
