“We have found that sometimes it’s the words we say that can Speak Life into someone,” says Lori Price, the afternoon host at 88.3 WCQR. Speak Life notes are listener-provided encouraging letters, that in the past have been taken up for “local cancer patients, nursing homes, teachers as well as first responders.” Now the radio station is collecting Speak Life letters to send to the children at Niswonger Children’s Hospital to remind them they’re not alone. These kids are staying at the hospital for a variety of reasons but are unable to receive visitors due to Covid 19. “We want to bring some joy to their day.”
Anyone can print a Speak Life letter from this link, write a message to a child at Niswonger and drop it off at the station by Friday September 11th or send it back to WCQR P.O. Box 8039, Gray, TN 37615 and they will deliver them all at once!
If you’re able to write a letter, please do! You can include coloring pages as well!
