Students Heading Home Early
Everyone’s packing up to travel home for Thanksgiving, but they won’t be back this year. To combat the spread of Covid-19 and limit students’ travel time as much as possible, King has decided to wrap up the semester through distance learning, and finals will be online. Residence halls close by noon on Wednesday, November 25, so make sure to get your bags packed!

Tennessee Sees Massive Spike in Covid Cases
The Governor has categorized Tennessee as an Activation Level 3 and extended the State of Emergency through the end of December. The state has been seeing record case numbers every day with Sullivan county reporting over 5,000 cases last Monday. A vaccine appears to be on the horizon as discussions are underway between the Pfizer, BioNTech, and the FDA. Until then, we should all know the drill by now, wear your mask, wash your hands, and keep your distance.
Spring Poster Session Dates Announced
On a happier note, King Libraries has announced that the premier of the 2021 Undergraduate Research Poster Session will be on April 16, 2021. The poster session will be held virtually, as it was last semester, following Covid safety policies. This year’s session marks the 13th year of this event. Information on how King undergraduate students can apply for inclusion in the session will be released in January. To view the 2020 poster session, visit https://king.libguides.com/PosterSession2020.
