King College makes news, why not publish it? For some time this question has occupied the thoughts of members of the Faculty and student body of this institution. At last the discussion growing out of this question materialized in a determination to publish a college newspaper. Hence, we submit for public approval the King College News.
The object of this paper is not to manifest literary ability on the part of the staff (for no newspaper is made up of classic literature) but to set before the public, in plain unadorned style, the news of our institution.
Elaborating further, the purpose of this paper is to prove to our friends that we appreciate them, and are sufficiently interested to endeavor to keep them informed as to our college activities; to carry to the parents of the sons of Old King such information about their boys’ school life as they may be interested to know; and to keep continuously before the people an idea of King, and an invitation to join with us in making a greater King College.
