Looking for a break from mid-terms? Check out these haunting Halloween activities that are sure to put you in a spooky mood!
1. The Corn Maze & Punkin Patch at Fleenor Farms
Fleenor Farms opened their annual corn maze on Sunday, October 3rd. They’re also doing something a bit different this year with their Grab N Go Punkins around the barn and their Field Punkins where you can go out into the field and pick out your own pumpkins. 2. Dollywood’s Harvest Festival
If you’re looking for some family fun, Dollywood is hosting their annual Harvest Festival, going on now until October 30th. Take a ride on any of Dollywood’s fun filled attractions and then grab a bite and indulge on any of the new fall flavors to warm you up! For more information and to book your tickets, click here.
3. Jack-o-lantern Drive Thru
On October 25th Jonesborough Visitors Center will host a Jack-o-lantern Drive Thru from 4 to 7 p.m. where members of the community can take home a pumpkin to carve and then bring it back on the 27th from 4 to 7 p.m. or on the 28th from 6 to 9 p.m. The pumpkins then will be lit and put on display along Main Street from the 28th through 31st beginning at 6 and ending at 9 each night. 4. Haunted Forest Elizabethton
Looking for a fun and spooky time for the whole family? Take a ride in the Haunted Forest located on Big Springs Road in Elizabethton. With four different attractions, marshmallows for roasting, and concessions, there’s plenty to enjoy! They’ll be open every Friday and Saturday in October from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. For more information visit their Facebook page here.
5. Halloween at the Moonlite Drive-In
The Barter Theatre will be putting on two shows each on the nights of October 30 and 31: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Dracula. The shows will take place from 6:45 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. Treats will be delivered to each parking spot ahead of the shows and costume and carving contests will be held. Winners of the costume contest and the Social Media Jack O’Lantern Contest will receive two tickets to a Barter Christmas Show along with a private booking for four at Intense Escape!
