October Sporting Events
Fall is upon us at King University, with no shortage of activities to look forward to in October. Let us look at what the Tornado athletic department offers for this month. First, look at the men’s and women’s soccer teams. Both teams will have home games on the 4th, 7th, 11th, 14th, and 21st, with away games mixed in. The women’s volleyball teams will host teams this month on the 3rd, 6th, 7th, 18th, and 25th. Other teams in action during the month include men’s and women’s swim teams, golf teams, cross-country teams, and the Tornado esports team. Following this month, men’s and women’s basketball and men’s wrestling are right around the corner in November!
October SLACK Events
The dawn of a new month means new slack events are coming for the students of King! On October 5th, there will be flag football just days before KingFest. On the 15th, there will be a trip to see the Charlotte Hornets play the Oklahoma City Thunder in Charlotte, North Carolina, so make sure you RSVP and put your deposits down. On the 16th, there will be board games in pizza, something everyone can get behind. Moreover, on the 27th, a Halloween movie-watch party will get everyone in the spooky spirit. To round out the month of October, there will be a Dollywood trip on the 29th; RSVP and deposit needed, and on Halloween, we will celebrate Oktoberfest with a commuter lunch!
KingFest/Family Weekend
On October 7th, King will celebrate yet another KingFest weekend. That means it will also be family weekend, an excellent opportunity for the families of King to come together for food, fun, and fellowship. There will be no shortage of things to do during this weekend. We are all looking forward to another successful KingFest!
Fall Break
Students rejoice as fall break is right around the corner. Fall break is on October 14th, and I am sure many are looking forward to it—a fantastic opportunity to return home and relax before finishing the home stretch of the first semester.
